The practice of yoga has taught me that emotions reside in the body. I believe we can come to terms
with our deepest unsettled feelings by exploring the subtleties of sensations brought forth in the
practice.
I also believe that music is especially potent at addressing our hidden emotionality, and can be a part of the healing process that is the necessary correlate to our high-stress, full-catastrophe lives.
In order to get to this depth, music must be affective to the listener – that is to say, it must speak to the body and not only the mind's ears.
